Keeping The World on Track

ASL Safety & Security has supplied PA/VA, site management and communication solutions to railway networks in Norway, Dubai, Portugal, South Africa, India and Canada, as well as numerous underground and surface applications in the UK. A core offering is iVENCS, ASL Safety & Security ’s single 3D control software solution.

iVENCS was successfully delivered as the control system for London’s St Pancras International Station as part of an £800m project. ASL Safety & Security has won awards at St Pancras for provision of an intuitive, easily-scalable platform that uses open source technology and distributed architecture. All 16 major sub-systems are controlled and monitored through one easy-to-use interface.

ASL Safety & Security ’s IP-based Long-Line PA system (iPAM) is in use on 40 Docklands Light Railway stations. iPAM is a monitored public address solution which has been created specifically for the demanding conditions encountered on international rail infrastructure projects. The equipment integrates routing, amplification and CIS software functions into a single fanless 2U unit and is engineered to be exceptionally robust. As well as providing core PA and CIS functionality such as Digital Voice Announcements (DVA), and Text to Speech, iPAM supplies network-wide fault reports to control centre workstations.
